Pamela June Honea Mauney, 56

Pamela June Honea Mauney, 56, formerly of Amarillo, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013 in Phoenix, after a long hard fought battle with Moya Moya disease.

Celebration of life services will be Saturday in Cox Funeral Home with Billy Nickell, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Pam was born June 4, 1956, in Amarillo to Ray "Sonny" and Barbara J. Honea. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1973. She was a Sandie Stepper. Her wonderful smile, unwavering Texas accent and easy laughter will be sorely missed, but never forgotten by all whose life she touched. She loved camping and fishing in the northern mountains of New Mexico. She was a partner in the family pool business.

She was preceded in death by her father on Oct. 7, 2011.

Survivors include her loving husband of 40 years, Patrick Mauney; two sons, Roger and wife Jennifer and Jason Mauney, all of Arizona; her mother Barbara J. Honea of Amarillo; two brothers, Charles Blackwell of Houston and John Blackwell of Las Vegas.
