Deborah Ann Driver Young
Deborah Ann "Debbie" Driver Young, 40, a former longtime Amarillo resident, died Friday, Nov. 1, 1996, at Guatemala.
Services and burial were Sunday in Antigua. Memorial services well be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in St Joseph's Church, 4222 Bonham St., with Deacon Richard Riley officiating. Arrangements were handled by the family.
Mrs. Young was born in Amarillo. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1974, where she had been a Sandie Stepper for two years. She worked as a beautician at Ray's, Sunny Spot and Hair Studio, all in Amarillo.
She sailed to Isla Mujeres, Mexico, in November, 1986. After the hurricane there, she sailed to Guatemala, where she worked in the export business.
Survivors include her parents, Adolph and Billie Pustejovsky of Amarillo; two sisters, Pamela Daniel and Terri Mix, both of Amarillo; and grandparents, Jim and Roxie Norris of Amarillo.
The family suggests memorials be to Area 16 Texas Special Olympics, 905 S. Filmore St. Suite 535, Amarillo, Texas 79101.
