Cindy Ann Crockett passed away April 23, 2020 in Corpus Christi. She was born June 21,1956 in San Marcos to Lorraine and Maj. Ivan F Crockett Jr., grew up in Amarillo, and graduated early from Amarillo High in 1973. She moved to Austin and lived in the area for 45+ years, continually moving south till she crossed the ACL. When she bought her home in Creedmoor, it came with a big Great Dane/Doberman mix. She was rarely if ever without a dog since and usually had a few. She cared for more than her own, being a volunteer at the Animal Center where she would walk the big dogs who didn't get taken out as often. She was blessed with three children: Kendra, Chad, and Lorraine Wilson, who survive her. She kept busy with their many sports and family vacations. She is also survived by her grandson Devin; her siblings Toni, Donna, Diane, Vivian, Davy, Dale and their spouses; and 13 of her nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and two nephews: Jeremiah and Ivan. She worked for SW Bell (now AT&T) for 30 years, almost all with the outside crew, either up on a pole or down in a manhole in all kinds of weather. She could be feisty but had a heart of gold, holding dear many of her workmates after retiring, especially Kathy and Raymond, who helped her often. She also enjoyed her "Girls night out" crowd. Her life will be celebrated at a later date.
